What does a Content Manager do?
A Content Manager owns the end-to-end content lifecycle for a brand or product: developing editorial strategies, briefing and producing written, visual, and multimedia content, managing publication schedules across web, social, and email channels, and measuring performance to refine future output. They work closely with marketing, design, SEO, and product teams to ensure content is on-brand, accurate, and optimised for its intended audience and platform.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a content calendar across web, social media, and email
- Write, edit, and proofread copy for blogs, landing pages, social posts, and campaigns
- Brief and coordinate with designers, videographers, and freelance contributors
- Publish and manage content via CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress, Contentful)
- Track content performance using analytics tools and report on key metrics
- Ensure brand voice, tone, and messaging consistency across all channels

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or English common but not always required; strong portfolio often weighted equally
