The Portfolio Formula
Every portfolio video should follow the structure: Hook - Benefits - Social proof - CTA. Show range across niches (skincare, tech, food) but keep a consistent quality bar. Brands want to see that you can adapt your style to their product while maintaining authentic delivery.

Brand Research Checklist
Run this checklist before pitching any brand. Only pitch brands that pass all 6 criteria.
- I genuinely use or like this product - I can speak authentically about it
- The brand is active on TikTok or Instagram - they invest in short-form video
- They are already running UGC-style ads - I can see creator content in their ad library
- Small-to-mid team or DTC brand - decision-makers are reachable
- I found the right contact - marketing manager, founder, or content lead
- I identified a content gap I can fill - a style, niche, or audience they are missing

Why This Pitch Works
This pitch is short, specific, and leads with the brand's content gap - not your follower count. You're showing you've done research, you already use the product, and you have a specific content idea ready. Keep it under 150 words.
Daily Pitch Tracker
Track every pitch you send. Aim for 30 pitches per day to hit a 2-10% response rate.
| # | Date | Brand Name | Subject Line Used | Niche | Response? | Follow-Up Due | Outcome | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | ||||||||

Volume Rule
Expect a 2-10% response rate on cold pitches. That means your first deals will come after 100-200 pitches. At 30 pitches per day, you can hit that within your first week. Volume is the strategy - treat pitching like a numbers game, not a lottery ticket.
Follow-Up Sequence
Most deals close on the follow-up, not the initial pitch. Use this 3-step sequence.
Follow-Up #1 - Day 4-5
Short bump referencing your original email. Add a new angle or hook.
Follow-Up #2 - Day 10-12
Attach a new asset (spec video, mood board, or content idea) to re-engage.
After No Reply - Archive
Move on after 2 follow-ups. Note why they may not have responded for future reference.
Deal Rate Card
Set your rates across 3 tiers. Fill in your pricing for each package.

Monthly Income Goal Planner
Reverse-engineer your income goal into a daily pitch number. Fill in your goal and average deal size to calculate.
The Math Behind $10K per Month
At a $500 average deal size, you need 20 deals per month. At a 5% close rate, that means 400 pitches per month - roughly 13 pitches per day. At a 2% close rate (common when starting out), you need 30+ daily pitches. The numbers are achievable once you build a repeatable system.
