A Social Media Strategist owns the planning, execution, and performance of a brand's presence across social platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, and Facebook. Day-to-day work involves developing channel strategies aligned to business goals, building content calendars, briefing creative teams, writing or reviewing copy, and managing community engagement. They analyze platform analytics to report on performance, identify trends, and continuously refine the strategy. Paid Social Strategists within this role also plan and optimize paid campaigns, managing budgets, audience targeting, and A/B testing across platforms like Meta Ads and LinkedIn Campaign Manager. They collaborate closely with content, brand, and performance marketing teams to ensure social activity is coherent and effective.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain social media strategies and content calendars across multiple platforms
- Brief and collaborate with creative, copy, and video teams to produce on-brand content
- Monitor, analyze, and report on channel KPIs including reach, engagement, and conversions
