What does a Channel Manager do?
A Channel Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of a brand's social media presence across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and YouTube. They plan and publish content, maintain a consistent brand voice, monitor community engagement, and analyse channel performance to inform strategy. Working closely with content creators, designers, and marketing teams, they ensure each platform's output aligns with broader campaign goals and audience expectations.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and manage content calendars across social media platforms
- Publish and schedule posts, stories, and short-form video content
- Monitor comments, messages, and mentions to maintain community engagement
- Track channel KPIs (reach, engagement rate, follower growth) and report on performance
- Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to align content with campaigns
- Identify platform trends and adapt content strategy accordingly
