What does a Podcast Host do?

A Podcast Host conceives and leads audio episodes from concept to publication, conducting interviews, delivering solo commentary, or facilitating panel discussions depending on the show format. They research topics and guests, write or outline scripts and talking points, record and review audio, and collaborate with editors or producers to shape the final episode. Hosts also engage with their audience across platforms, promote new episodes, and often play a role in shaping the overall editorial direction and tone of the show.
