A PR Manager leads an organisation's public relations efforts by developing and executing communications strategies that build brand reputation and generate earned media coverage. Day-to-day work involves writing and distributing press releases, pitching stories to journalists and editors, managing a network of media contacts, briefing spokespeople, and monitoring press coverage. In digital-focused variants of the role, they also run digital PR campaigns designed to earn backlinks and online visibility. They coordinate closely with marketing, social media, and executive teams to ensure messaging is consistent, and they act as a first point of contact during reputational issues or crisis communications.
