Social Media Manager job description
About the Role
We're looking for a creative, strategic, and execution-focused Social Media Manager to own the day-to-day management and growth of our social platforms across TikTok, Instagram, and emerging channels, on a part-time contractor basis (~20 hrs/week). This role partners closely with the Director of Social Commerce to help shape how we show up, engage our audience, and support social-driven traffic and commerce.
Given the part-time scope, this engagement is focused on the highest-leverage areas of the original role — hands-on content creation, platform execution, and community management — with select project-based work layered in as capacity allows. Broader strategic ownership and full-cycle campaign management remain with the Director of Social Commerce and internal marketing team.
About Revive
We partner directly with brands to bring returned, overstock, and deadstock items back to life. Every piece is cleaned, QA'd, and ready-to-wear — giving customers access to premium, in-season fashion and home goods at incredible value.
Core Responsibilities (Weekly Ownership)
Own day-to-day social execution across TikTok and Instagram — content creation, editing, captions, and publishing — aligned to brand voice and content pillars.
Create and edit short-form video, trend-driven moments, and behind-the-scenes clips optimized for each platform.
Manage and maintain the social content calendar in collaboration with the Director of Social Commerce, product, and marketing teams.
Own community management — responding to comments and DMs in a timely, on-brand way (response-time expectations adjusted for part-time hours).
Track core KPIs (engagement, reach, follower growth, CTR) and deliver a brief bi-weekly performance summary.
Additional Responsibilities (Project-Based / As Capacity Allows)
Contribute to quarterly editorial shoots — on-site content capture and creative concepting for social-optimized assets.
Support select livestream shopping events with pre-show, in-show, and post-show social content (prioritized events, not full weekly coverage).
Support influencer seeding and campaigns — coordinating content, scheduling, and tracking performance for active campaigns.
Create or optimize social-driven product imagery and promotional assets for the D2C website.
Share performance insights and creative recommendations with the Director of Social Commerce to inform broader strategy.
What You'll Bring
3–5 years of experience managing social media for fashion, lifestyle, or e-commerce brands.
Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and short-form video culture, trends, and best practices.
Proven ability to grow social platforms through creative, data-informed content.
Proficient in content creation and editing tools (CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar).
Comfortable capturing content on-site and during editorial shoots.
Strong writing and storytelling skills with an eye for hooks, pacing, and performance.
Highly organized and self-directed — able to prioritize independently within a part-time, contractor schedule.
Comfortable operating as an independent contractor: managing own tax filings, and providing own equipment/software licenses unless otherwise agreed in the contract.
Experience with influencer content, social commerce, and D2C support is a plus.
Hours
~20 hours/week (part-time)
Schedule
Hybrid — 1 day/week required on-site at the LA office; remaining hours remote/flexible
