Social Media Manager job description
- Manage and execute the social media presence of Lifestyle Asia India and Travel + Leisure India across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, and emerging platforms where relevant.
- Develop and maintain social content calendars aligned with editorial priorities, cultural moments, audience interests, and business objectives.
- Work closely with editors and writers to identify opportunities for social-first storytelling and translate editorial content into engaging platform-native formats.
- Publish, schedule, optimise, and manage content across social platforms while maintaining brand voice and editorial standards.
- Conceptualise, shoot, edit, and publish short-form video content for social platforms, particularly Instagram Reels and Stories.
- Attend events, awards, launches, interviews, photoshoots, and editorial activations to create real-time social content and coverage.
- Collaborate with editorial, design, video, commercial, and leadership teams to execute social campaigns and content initiatives effectively.
- Coordinate with clients, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to deliver branded content and campaign requirements within agreed timelines.
- Stay ahead of developments across culture, luxury, travel, fashion, beauty, food & beverage, entertainment, social media platforms, and the creator ecosystem to identify emerging trends and content opportunities for our brands.
- Ensure timely execution and turnaround of commercial and client-led social deliverables while maintaining editorial and creative standards.
- Monitor platform trends, creator activity, audience behaviour, and cultural conversations to identify new content opportunities and best practices.
- Track content performance and use insights to optimise content strategy, improve engagement, and inform future planning.
- Contribute to campaign recaps, reporting, and performance reviews by translating data into actionable recommendations.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail, organisation, and stakeholder communication.

Support live coverage and real-time content opportunities when required, including flexibility around events and breaking news.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in social media, content marketing, digital publishing, media, lifestyle, travel, luxury, entertainment, fashion, beauty, or culture-focused brands.
- Experience working within a digital publisher, media company, content platform, agency, or editorial-led brand is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience managing and growing social media channels, particularly Instagram.
- Strong understanding of social storytelling, content strategy, audience engagement, and platform best practices.
- Experience conceptualising, shooting, and editing short-form social video content using mobile-first tools and workflows.
- Comfortable being on camera and participating in content creation when required.
- Strong understanding of content performance metrics and the ability to use insights to inform content decisions.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with editorial, commercial, client, and leadership stakeholders.
- Experience working with commercial teams, branded content campaigns, and client deliverables.
- Deep interest in culture, luxury, lifestyle, travel, fashion, beauty, food & beverage, entertainment, and the creator economy.
- Highly aware of both Indian and global cultural conversations, emerging trends, consumer behaviour shifts, and platform developments, with the ability to translate these insights into relevant social content opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of English.
- Familiarity with social publishing, reporting, analytics, and content management tools.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Must be based in Delhi NCR.
