What does a Presentation Designer do?
A Presentation Designer creates polished, visually structured slide decks, pitch decks, and presentation materials for internal and external audiences. Working closely with stakeholders such as executives, sales teams, and marketing, they translate raw content, data, and messaging into clear, on-brand visual narratives. Day-to-day work involves laying out slides in tools like PowerPoint or Google Slides, designing custom graphics and data visualisations, and maintaining consistency with brand guidelines across all deliverables.
Key responsibilities
- Design and format slide decks for pitches, executive briefings, and marketing presentations
- Translate complex data and written content into clear visual layouts
- Create custom icons, graphics, and infographics within presentations
- Apply and maintain brand guidelines across all slide templates
- Collaborate with copywriters, strategists, and executives to align visuals with messaging
- Build and maintain reusable master slide templates and design systems

Portfolio-based role; a degree or diploma in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field is common but not always required
