We’re looking for a proactive and creative HR & Internal Communications Intern to support our European HR team across both core HR operations and internal communications initiatives. This hybrid internship offers hands-on experience in HR operations, employee engagement, and internal communications in an international corporate environment. You will work closely with HR Business Partners and Internal Communications stakeholders to support day-to-day activities, contribute to process improvements, and help shape clear, engaging internal communication across our European organization.

What you’ll do

  • HR support & administration
    • Support day-to-day HR administration (e.g., documentation, data entry, reporting, maintaining employee records in HR systems)
    • Help HR Business Partners respond to employee questions related to HR policies, processes, and benefits
    • Support benefits administration and coordination with employees and vendors
    • Prepare HR materials such as presentations, reports, and meeting documents
  • HR projects & process improvement
    • Support projects focused on improving HR processes, automation, and employee experience
    • Help collect data and insights to improve HR workflows and reporting
    • Suggest ways to improve clarity, consistency, and efficiency in how HR operates
  • Internal communications & engagement
    • Draft, edit, and publish internal communications via channels such as Microsoft Teams, email, and intranet
    • Maintain and update intranet content and internal communication pages
    • Create content such as templates, announcements, short newsletters, and presentations
    • Partner with HR and other teams to turn updates into clear, employee-friendly messages
    • Bring ideas to improve engagement, communication flow, and message consistency

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in HR and internal communications and has already had some exposure to both (through coursework, a previous internship, a student job, university projects, a student association, or similar).

  • Demonstrated interest in HR and internal communications / employee engagement (you can explain why you want this combination)
  • Some prior exposure to both areas (HR + communications) through projects, part-time work, or internships
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (clear, structured, audience-friendly writing)
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Proactive and reliable: able to take ownership with guidance and follow through consistently
  • Comfortable handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Nice to have

  • Experience with intranet tools, content management systems, or HR systems
  • Basic design/content tools (e.g., Canva, PowerPoint design, Adobe Creative Cloud)
  • Interest in employer branding or communications planning
  • Experience creating structured content (templates, newsletters, comms packs)

What you’ll gain

  • Hands-on experience across HR operations and internal communications in a European context
  • Exposure to HR topics like employee experience, engagement, and change communication
  • Ownership of tangible deliverables (Internal Comms Toolkit) to showcase in your portfolio
  • Close collaboration with HRBPs and internal communications stakeholders
  • A strong foundation for future roles in HR, Communications, or Employer Branding
