Join the power movement as a Contract Internal Communications Specialist

We are seeking a collaborative, highly organized Internal Communications Specialist to join our team on a 6-month contract basis (mid-October through mid-April, 2026) to support day-to-day internal communications during a team member's leave. Reporting to the Head of Internal Communications, you will serve as the hands-on operational hub for internal messaging, slide deck creation, channel management, and company meeting execution. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to help draft clear messages, maintain internal publishing schedules, and keep employees informed and connected.

What you'll do:

  • Multi-Channel Writing: Draft, edit, and publish concise, brand-aligned messaging, including emails, Slack updates, Confluence, and digital signage
  • Inbound Request Management: Act as the primary coordinator for internal communication submissions, working with cross-functional leads (Safety, Facilities, IT, People Operations) to advise on content, review and schedule their communications
  • Speaker Support: Work with presenters to organize, reformat, and refine presentation slide decks to align with company branding and formatting standards
  • All-Hands Meetings: Coordinate meeting logistics, presenter schedules, slide decks, and audience Q&A tools for company All-Hands meeting
  • On-Site Event Support: Assist with live meeting setup in Devens—working with AV/IT teams, managing Q&A platform, and drafting post-meeting recap emails and summaries
  • Recognition Programs: Administer the logistics and communications for employee recognition programs, including nomination reviews, slide updates, manager notifications, and award delivery
  • Calendar Management: Maintain the internal communications editorial calendar to keep coordination and scheduling on track
  • Targeted Campaign Rollouts: Project manage the execution of internal comms projects and messaging

What we're looking for:

  • 2–3+ years of hands-on experience in internal communications, corporate communications, employee engagement, or marketing operations
  • Ability to work in person at our Devens, MA campus to support hands-on meeting execution and cross-functional team coordination
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and line-editing skills with an ability to turn raw information into clear, easy-to-read employee communications
  • Strong visual eye for presentation design, layout formatting, and brand consistency (Google Slides)
  • Comfortable using generative AI tools as an efficiency multiplier in daily workflows
  • Ability to take direction from the Head of Internal Communications, manage tight daily deadlines, and work effectively with cross-functional partners across the company

Must-have requirements:

  • Perform extended activities such as stooping, climbing, typing, standing, sitting, etc.
  • Willingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call regularly
  • Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards that may include heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead, high voltage, and cryogenics
  • #LI-Hybrid
