Head of Content – Global Wave Group 

Location: Albany, Auckland (Office based) 

Reports to: Global Marketing Manager 

 

Role Purpose

The Head of Content will be responsible for planning, creating and managing all key content for the company’s website and external channels, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment with brand and business goals. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Content Strategy & Planning  

  • Develop and maintain a content strategy for the website and external platforms that support overall marketing and business objectives. 
  • Create and manage an annual and quarterly content calendar, covering key campaigns, product launches, and brand initiatives. 

Content Creation & Management  

  • Oversee the creation, editing and publishing of website content, articles, landing pages, emails, and external posts. 
  • Ensure all content is accurate, on-brand, compliant with relevant regulations, and optimized for search (SEO) and user experience. 
  • Develop and maintain content guidelines, tone of voice and templates to standardize content production. 

Cross-Channel Alignment & Collaboration  

  • Ensure consistent messaging across websites, social media, email, partner sites and other distribution outlets. 
  • Collaborate with product and sales teams to translate complex product information into clear, customer-friendly content. 

Quality Control & Performance Monitoring 

  • Review and approve key content pieces to ensure quality, consistency and compliance with brand and legal requirements. 
  • Monitor content performance using basic analytics (e.g. traffic, engagement, conversions) and make data-informed improvements. 

Team & Vendor Management  

  • Coordinate internal writers, designers and external agencies/freelancers to deliver content on time and to standard. 
  • Provide clear briefs, feedback, and guidance to maintain a high standard of output. 

 

Essential Requirements
 

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Finance, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Languages, or a related field. 
  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing, digital marketing, editorial, or related roles. 
  • Proven experience managing website content and multi-channel content campaigns. 
  • Experience working in an international or cross-border environment is a plus. 
  • Strong writing and editing skills in Englishadditional language skills are an advantage. 
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing basics (SEO, web analytics, landing pages, email campaigns). 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, with strong attention to detail. 
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to align different departments and regions. 
  • Structured, hands-on and result-oriented working style. 
  • Native English speakerability to speak Chinese is an advantage.
