As the global standard for music and video recognition, we are supported by the largest source of entertainment data in the world. Gracenote features metadata and descriptions for more than 200 million tracks, TV listings for 85+ countries, and statistics from 4,500 sports leagues and competitions.

When you join Gracenote, you are joining a global team that powers the entertainment experiences of millions of people every single day.

Passion for sports, leadership, and data collection—that’s the winning trifecta we are looking for in our next Lead Content Operations Editor.

In this role, you will lead and mentor a dedicated team within our Gracenote Sports Content division. You will ensure our sports data discovery is flawless, our workflows run like clockwork, and our team is empowered to succeed. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love live sports, and know how to bring out the best in people, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities

As a team lead, your playbook will include:

  • Team Leadership & Development: Build, manage, and inspire a team of content operations editors. Evaluate staff performance, provide constructive feedback, and deliver the coaching necessary for your team to thrive.

  • Operations & Logistics: Oversee hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching in an efficient manner, ensuring full compliance with local labor rules and regulations.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all content operations are executed flawlessly according to predefined standards, timelines, and processes.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a vital bridge between your local team and international Nielsen/Gracenote departments, including Engineering, Facilities, and Infrastructure.

  • Global Synergy: Partner with international teams to coordinate training efforts and establish cross-location support to handle peak times and major sporting events.

  • Continuous Improvement: Keep a constant eye out for operational bottlenecks and proactively identify opportunities to improve, scale, or grow our processes.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should bring:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading a production-based team working under tight, time-sensitive deadlines.

  • Communication Skills: Fluency in English with exceptional interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills. You know how to deliver clear, constructive feedback.

  • The Sports Mindset: A genuine passion for sports. Working with live sports data can get hectic, so the ability to stay cool and focused under pressure is a must.

  • Analytical & Sharp Eye: A strong quality focus backed by critical thinking and problem-solving skills. You have an innate ability to spot trends, anomalies, and data discrepancies.

  • Execution Excellence: Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. You are highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and balance motivating your team with delivering top-tier results for clients.
