Curriculum Developer Jobs
What does a Curriculum Developer do?
A Curriculum Developer researches, designs, and produces structured learning programs for corporate training, higher education, or specialized technical fields. Day-to-day work involves collaborating with subject-matter experts (SMEs) to gather source content, writing learning objectives, sequencing instructional materials, and building course content in formats ranging from instructor-led guides and workbooks to e-learning modules and LMS-hosted courses. They apply instructional design frameworks (such as ADDIE or SAM) to ensure content is pedagogically sound, assess learner outcomes, and iterate on materials based on feedback and performance data. In technical domains, such as ERP/CRM software, semiconductors, aerospace, or standardized test prep, they must also develop fluency in the subject area itself to produce accurate, credible content.
