Community Engagement Coordinator – Bnot Sherut Residence job description
The Community Engagement Coordinator for the Bnot Sherut residence plays a vital role in cultivating a vibrant, supportive, and meaningful experience for Lone Bnot Sherut. This position involves designing and implementing community-building programs, providing emotional and logistical support, and fostering a warm and inclusive living environment aligned with the values and mission of Nefesh B’Nefesh.
Key Responsibilities
Community Building & Engagement
- Facilitate orientation and ongoing programming for residents
- Coordinate regular community events, Shabbat meals, cultural programming, and holiday celebrations at the Bnot Sherut Residence
- Develop initiatives that encourage meaningful relationships among the Bnot Sherut
- Partner with local organizations to provide volunteering opportunities that integrate the Bnot Sherut with broader Israeli society.
Support & Mentorship
- Serve as a mentor and trusted resource for Bnot Sherut, offering guidance and support throughout their service year.
- Address and mediate interpersonal challenges within the residence in coordination with the NBN social services team.
- Ensure the emotional wellbeing of residents by organizing check-ins and referring to appropriate support when necessary.
- Responsible for overseeing the Resident Advisors (RAs)
Administrative & Logistical Oversight
- Collaborate with the NBN Bnot Sherut Director on scheduling, communications, and budget-related needs.
- Maintain records and feedback on program effectiveness.
- Coordinate to ensure a safe, clean, and welcome living space.
- Manage maintenance needs in the building
- Manage the RA’s and offer support and guidance
