Marketing & Communications Manager - 12 month FTC job description
We are looking for an experienced Marketing & Communications Manager to join our high-performing Business Development, Marketing & Communications (BDMC) team on a 12-month fixed term parental leave contract. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a broad, strategic and hands-on role, partnering with stakeholders across the firm to shape marketing and communications initiatives, enhance client engagement, and drive our digital marketing strategy.
About the role
This is a true marketing and communications generalist role, spanning campaign management, digital marketing, EDM ownership, internal and external communications, and client engagement. You will work closely with the Marketing & Communications Specialist and the wider BDMC team to deliver high-quality, commercially relevant work across the firm.
In this role, you will:
- Define and implement marketing communications strategies aligned to the firm’s strategic priorities, including thought leadership campaigns, marketing campaigns and flagship publications.
- Own and implement the firm’s Digital Marketing Strategy, including managing digital channels and reviewing their performance.
- Support the effective use of CRM and marketing automation platforms to improve client engagement, data quality, reporting and campaign performance.
- Apply AI and other emerging tools to improve marketing and communications processes, insights and efficiency, while bringing fresh ideas and innovation to how we engage clients and share the firm’s expertise.
- Create client-centric content and work with the team to identify relevant topics, trends and opportunities to profile the firm’s expertise.
- Source, write, edit and publish updates, newsletters and thought leadership content, including firm news, legislative updates, internal newsletters, alumni updates and blogs.
- Collaborate with the broader BDMC and Business Services teams to deliver first-class advice and support.
About you
You will be a confident, proactive and commercially minded marketing and communications professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, stakeholder-rich environment.
You will bring:
- 7+ years’ experience in a corporate and/or professional services marketing role.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing or a related business field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong editing and proof-reading capability.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work collaboratively across a team and with stakeholders at all levels.
- Digital marketing capability, including SEO, SEM, AEO, GEO, digital marketing and social media.
- Confidence using a range of technology platforms, including CRM systems, AI tools and other emerging technologies.
- Experience in, or a strong interest in, CRM optimisation, marketing automation and tech applications in marketing and communications.
- A creative, innovative and strategic approach, with the confidence to bring new ideas, challenge thinking constructively and identify better ways of working.
