We are looking for a Science Communications Manager to own how QuantWare explains its technology to the world. You will produce the whitepapers and technical narratives that make a genuinely new architecture legible to physicists, customers, analysts, and press; and you will be the person who makes sure every technical claim QuantWare puts into public is accurate and defensible. You’ll work directly with our lead engineers to find the stories worth telling, and with the VP Marketing to get them in front of the right audiences.

What you’ll be doing

• Scientific Publication: Co-write and edit peer-reviewed papers and preprints with our R&D teams.

• Proposals & Grant Writing: Lead the technical writing on competitive proposals to government and funding agencies, working with technical leads, project managers and consortium partners.

• Technical Content Production: Create whitepapers, explainer videos, blog posts, website technical copy, and conference material.

• Story Development: Work with engineering leads to support the VP Marketing in identifying the technical themes worth building narratives around.

• Executive Support: Prepare technical material & briefings for investor/analyst calls, media appearances and keynotes for our CEO.

• Technical Accuracy & Framing: Own the language, framing, and factual defensibility of QuantWare’s public-facing communication materials.

• Reporting line: You will report to the VP Marketing
  

Your Profile

• Education & Experience: A Master’s degree in Physics, Engineering, or a comparable technical field with 3+ years in technical or science communications, or a PhD with 2+ years of communications experience.

• Writing: Excellent writing skills and ability to make hard technical material simple - without making it wrong.

• Audience Instinct: You can tell what a physicist, an investor, or a journalist each need from the same underlying scientific story.

• Collaboration: You get energy from working with vastly different teams (R&D, Product, Management, Marketing).

• Mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity, fast iteration, embargoed material, and time pressure.

• Language: Fluent, publication-quality written English. Dutch is not required.
