Job Description

This role will be based in the Bay Area or New York City.

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. 

In this fast-paced and high-visibility role, you will support product communications for LinkedIn Talent Solutions, LinkedIn's largest business line. You’ll shape and execute communications strategies that elevate LinkedIn as the leader in agentic hiring, supporting our agentic hiring and learning solutions products. You'll need to be interested in telling stories on how hiring is changing and the role LinkedIn's products play in it to reach a primary audience of CHROs and Talent Leaders. 

This is a role for someone who is passionate about product communications and enjoys being a subject matter expert on a business line. The person must excel at stakeholder management and working cross-functionally across multiple different functions, including marketing, product and sales. This person will be involved in all stages of the communications initiatives – from concept formulation, cross-functional planning, message development, media relations, creator engagement, execution and results-oriented reporting. And, the person must have experience and interest in both traditional and emerging forms of media and storytelling. 

Must be a good collaborator, can work in a fast-paced environment and exhibit a strong work ethic.  

 

 Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the day-to-day communications lead for LinkedIn Talent Solutions products, driving earned storytelling around LinkedIn's hiring and learning products.
  • Oversee the strategy, planning, and execution of product announcements from concept through launch, ensuring alignment across cross-functional teams. 
  • Be the subject matter expert on LinkedIn's largest business, Talent Solutions, knowing the ins-and-outs of the business and its suite of products. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with top-tier media, including tech, business and HR trade media as well as creator platforms and substacks. 
  • Provide strategic counsel to senior stakeholders and internal partners across product, marketing and sales. 
  • Translate technical products into compelling storytelling opportunities that drive press coverage and meet business objectives.
  • Write product messaging, FAQs, briefing books and content for owned channels.
  • Use AI tools to identify emerging storylines, test headlines, and optimize media discoverability across LLMs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related experience, AND 2+ years of experience in External Communications OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field AND minimum 4+ years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related experience, AND 2+ years of experience in External Communications. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Proven track record leading global communications strategies. 

  • Demonstrated ability to make quick decisions, navigate ambiguity, and drive alignment among senior stakeholders in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent media relation skills.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills. 

  • Passion for product communications. 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unstructured, and deadline-oriented environment, and can manage multiple launches simultaneously.

  • Strong research and analytical skills; able to translate product stories simple, engaging narratives.

  • Demonstrated fluency with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot) and curiosity about how AI is transforming communications, journalism, and discoverability.

  • Well-developed media relationships and the ability to grow new ones.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a sharp editorial eye.

  • Proven attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines.

  • High degree of integrity and sense of confidentiality.

  • Ability to demonstrate maturity and good judgment at all times.

  • Strategic thinker with excellent project management and organizational skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to stay on top of multiple projects at once.

  • Strong project management and decision-making skills.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team and hybrid environment.

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. 

The pay range for this role is $126,000 to $198,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
