Summary of the Video Editor job at RealFaith

Job Overview 

The video editor will transform raw footage into polished content that aligns with project goals. You’ll work closely with the Executive Operations Director to tell stories that align with the mission of RealFaith. 

Responsibilities & duties 

• Review and organize raw footage; select best clips for storytelling 

• Create rough and final cuts; ensure smooth pacing, continuity, and logical flow 

• Incorporate sound design, music, dialogue, graphics, titles, effects and color grading 

• Collaborate with the Ex. Ops Director to align edits with vision 

• Present cuts for feedback; make revisions as needed at the guidance of the video director 

• Stay current with editing software, trends, and best practices 
  

Additional responsibilities & duties 

• Operate cameras for RealFaith content production 

• Operate one of the various positions during live show recordings like switcher, sound, graphics, cameras, etc. 

• Studio maintenance (i.e. Upkeep of lighting and camera gear, cleanliness of the studio space, etc.) 
• Assist in studio setups and set flips for productions 

Qualifications & skills 

• Proficient in editing software: 

• Davinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro 

• Strong storytelling, timing, continuity, and visual pacing sense 

• Understanding of sound mixing and color grading 

• Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills 
  

Preferred additional skills 

• Experience with VFX/After Effects 

• Experience in social media short-form content (instagram,
  tiktok) 

• Portfolio demonstrating a variety of editing styles and project types 

• Experience in dynamic work environment with demanding deadlines
