The Role: Content Creator

We’re looking for a Content Creator to join our growing social and influencer team at VML. This role is for someone who lives and breathes social storytelling, understands how content behaves across platforms, and can turn ideas into engaging, native content that connects with audiences.

You’ll work closely with strategists, social teams, and influencer specialists to develop, create, and deliver content that feels culturally relevant and platform-first. From short-form video to social-first storytelling formats, you’ll play a key role in shaping how brands show up in people’s feeds.

This role sits within an exciting and fast-growing team that brings together social strategists, influencer specialists, content creators, social media managers, and data-led thinkers. Together, you’ll help shape standout work for some of the world’s most recognisable brands.

You’ll be given the opportunity to work across a range of projects where creativity, speed, and cultural awareness matter just as much as craft.

What you'll be doing:

Content Creation & Production:
Create engaging, platform-native content across social channels including short-form video, static posts, story formats, and emerging content types. Bring ideas to life from concept through to execution, ensuring content feels authentic and tailored to each platform.

Creative Ideation:
Collaborate with social, strategy, and influencer teams to develop content ideas that align with campaign objectives and brand tone. Translate briefs into compelling, scroll-stopping content concepts.

Social-First Storytelling:
Understand how content behaves differently across platforms and create work that is optimised for each environment, particularly TikTok, Instagram, and emerging social platforms.

Trend Awareness:
Stay close to cultural moments, platform updates, and content trends, proactively bringing ideas into the team that keep work fresh, relevant, and culturally connected.

Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams including strategy, influencer, production, and account management to ensure content aligns with wider campaign and brand objectives.

Content Delivery:
Support the end-to-end production process, from planning and shooting through to editing and publishing, ensuring content is delivered on time and to a high creative standard.

Feedback & Optimisation:
Review content performance and use insights to refine and improve future output, contributing to a culture of continuous creative improvement.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience creating social-first content for brands, agencies, or digital platforms
  • Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and short-form video culture
  • Ability to turn ideas into visually engaging, platform-native content
  • Strong creative instincts with an eye for detail and storytelling
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Awareness of social trends, creators, and digital culture
  • Basic production and editing skills (video editing, content tools, etc.)
  • Strong communication and ability to respond to creative feedback
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working across disciplines
  • Passion for content that feels culturally relevant and native to social platforms
