Social Media Specialist job description

This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position.

This is a hybrid position with the office located in Spring, Texas (Houston, TX metro area).


Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking to add a full-time social media specialist to the team. You should be passionate about the mission of our company – to teach others about the beauty of Jesus and the truth of Scripture. You should be driven, enthusiastic, and excited about collaborating with The Daily Grace Co. team to produce Christ-centered resources. Your love for social media, community, and building relationships through technology makes you the ideal candidate for this position.



Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related field
  • Comfortable in-front of and behind the camera to produce social media photos and videos.
  • Knowledge of the social trends of various platforms including: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and more.
  • Theological understanding of Scripture in order to accurately communicate the value of the product to the customer.
  • Experience managing various social platforms for another business or ministry (not just personal experience), preferred, but not required.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and write captions for social media posts (two Instagram accounts, two Facebook accounts, one Facebook group, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and LinkedIn)
  • Coordinate and film video content for social platforms (including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
  • Brainstorm, coordinate, and request creatives for social media 
  • Manage brand reputation by responding to messages and comments on social platforms
  • Respond to affiliate inquiries
  • Implement affiliate and influencer programs
  • Implement new initiatives to increase social engagement, which leads to customer acquisition/conversion
  • Weekly and monthly reporting on the performance of each social platform
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Starting annual salary for this position is approximately $50,000 based upon experience.
