Job Description

The SEO Manager is an important role within Jellyfish's Earned Media team, responsible for leading organic search strategies that improve business growth for our clients. Reporting to our SEO Director, you will develop data-driven SEO strategies, build technical and content optimizations, and collaborate with our teams to provide integrated marketing solutions. The SEO Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring our clients achieve strong organic visibility, traffic growth, and improved ROI.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Develop SEO strategies tailored to client goals, ensuring measurable success.

  • Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits, resolving site architecture issues, crawlability challenges, and performance gaps.

  • Increase onsite content, ensuring it aligns with SEO best practices, user intent, and organic search trends.

  • Design and implement white-hat link-building strategies to improve domain authority and organic rankings.

  • Use insights from SEO research, competitor analysis, and market trends to refine strategies and enhance search visibility.

  • Provide performance reports with applicable insights, linking data to next steps and growth.

  • Participate in internal and client-facing meetings, positioning yourself as a subject matter expert.

  • Collaborate with Social, Content, Paid Media, Display, Creative, Development, and UX teams to ensure SEO is integrated into broader marketing campaigns.

  • Work with Client Services and Project Management to ensure projects remain on budget and within agreed timelines.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with website architecture, indexing, crawling, schema markup, Core Web Vitals, and site performance optimizations.

  • Proficient in Screaming Frog, Semrush, Ahrefs, Majestic, BuzzSumo, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and/or Google Tag Manager.

  • Ability to conduct keyword research, increase content for search engines, and align strategies with user behavior.

  • Experienced in analyzing SEO data, drawing insights, and making recommendations.

  • Experience in managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and ensuring deliverables align with client expectations.

  • Experience troubleshooting SEO challenges and adapting to changes in search algorithms.
