Band 8a - Mammographer - Chesterfield job description

Job Title: Mammographer
Banding: Band 8a
Location: Chesterfield, Derbyshire
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Rate: £35-36 per hour
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mammographer to join our esteemed client in Chesterfield. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic clinical environment, with a focus on breast screening services.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality breast screening mammography procedures with precision and care. You will ensure accurate imaging, maintain and calibrate mammography equipment, and adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations. You will also work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to support the early detection and diagnosis of breast conditions, contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HCPC registration.
  • Certificate of Competence in Mammography.
  • Proven experience in breast screening.
  • Strong technical and clinical knowledge of mammography procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
