Email Marketing Officer job description

Job title: Email Marketing Officer

Reports to: CEO

FLSA Classification: Volunteer


Job purpose    

Responsible for implementing, maintaining and evaluating the company's email and printed mail marketing strategy while maintaining LINC’s brand and mission.


Duties and responsibilities

  1. Work closely with LINC team to manage and build a marketing strategy for emails and printed mail.
  2. Communicate with team to build relevant and engaging emails and printed newsletters
  3. Design, create and schedule emails for: 
    1. Newsletters
    2. Campaigns and Events 
    3. End of Year Giving 
  4. Collaborate with CEO to ensure emails maintain brand image 
  5. Learn and utilize email features in our NeonCRM. 
  6. Work closely with Account Manager to ensure donors’ contact information and email audience labels are current prior to sending emails or mailed items
    1. Keep address list updated for Printed Mail Only donors and communicate directly with third party printer
  7. Develop and present email marketing reports to Board of Directors quarterly.
    1. Review engagements, clicks, donations, unsubscribed, etc. 
    2. Update Marketing Analytics document monthly with email analytics
  8. Utilize Google Suite and NeonCRM to communicate with LINC team for strategic planning and scheduling of all marketing efforts

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, multitasking, creative and analytical skills
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time-management skills, exceptional organizational and technical skills
  • Proven work experience in social media marketing, content management, digital design, and/or email marketing strategy. 
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on LINC’s success
  • Ability to learn new marketing platforms (CRM)
  • Solid knowledge of design software programs, such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
  • Subject to background check

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or similar field
  • Proven work experience with social media platforms, similar marketing platforms, and/or digital design role
  • Solid experience coordinating successful marketing campaigns
  • Technology skills
  • Content Writing/Graphic Design experience
  • Past experience with email marketing, lead nurturing, marketing automation, and/or web analytics

Working Conditions

  • Willingness to put in more working hours, even at odd times. Minimal travel required.
  • Virtual  

Physical requirements

This position operates remote/virtually. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
