CAMERA OPERATOR & EDITOR – KSA

With over 300 staff in offices across the world, Whisper delivers world-class production across its core pillars of Sport, Entertainment, Documentaries, Gaming and Branded Content, supported by end-to-end Social and Digital services.

We are looking for an experienced Camera Operator / Editor who is ambitious and proactive to join the team on a 6-month FTC based in Saudi Arabia.

 

Must be proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and be able to confidently operate a range of cameras.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Operate camera equipment on shoots, including lighting and audio set ups.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of composition, framing, light levels, exposure and camera

         settings to achieve the “look” sought by Directors/Producers.

  • Be prepared to discuss the alternative approaches to shooting with Director/Producers to achieve the best outcome.
  • Provide direct support and advice to Production Teams and other camera operators.
  • Drive kit to shoots
  • Be proactive in developing skills as an ENG operator
  • Offline and online editing on Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Working, as part of a team, across a wide range of content for a digital and social channels
  • Basic grading and sound mixing
  • Understanding the technical requirements to meet and uphold QC standards
  • Ensuring that the output complies with Whisper’s editorial, technical, design and accessibility standards, whilst always working to the company’s Health and Safety policy
  • Keeping abreast of developments and trends in the Digital space and make suggestions for creative content
  • Upholding the reputation of the company by embodying the ethos of Whisper

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE



  • Several years’ previous experience in the creative industry
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Experience of working in a pressurised environment within a team
  • Camera operating skills inc lighting and sound
  • The capacity to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
  • Ability to work effectively with others and manage relationships in a diverse team
  • Have a proactive attitude to work and promote a positive work ethic in the team
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • Good attention to detail
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads and new systems
  • Ability to check camera equipment and identify any issues
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and experience of creating exciting edits
  • Passion for creativity and visual storytelling, and ambition to work as part of the team to suggest new ideas and designs
  • Demonstrated ability and experience of producing engaging, entertaining, and creative features.
  • Understanding of the technical specifications, creative and editorial requirements for delivering output directly to social media platforms
  • Understanding of media management, requesting, and ingesting of content
  • Ability to understand a brief from the internal production team and external clients
  • Ability to work independently as well as alongside a Producer
  • Flexibility of working days and hours to fulfil needs at crucial points
  • Creativity with the ability to bring a fresh new approach to creating engaging and evolving output


LOCATION:

Saudi based.

Role could be based in either Riyadh or NEOM subject to project.

NEOM based position includes additional benefits of accommodation, ground transport, return flight

allowance, meal plan

 

WORKING DAYS:

Sunday – Thursday



START:

ASAP on a 6-month FTC

 

RENUMERATION:

To be discussed depending on experience
