The Opportunity

The Senior Manager, Corporate Communications, is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of Amylyx’s digital communications strategy during a period of growth and transformation. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Communications, as a key member of the Corporate Communications and Investor Relations team, this role will lead and evolve the company’s digital communications ecosystem – including social media, the corporate website, internal digital platforms, and emerging channels – to advance corporate priorities, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and elevate Amylyx’s reputation and visibility.

This highly collaborative position partners closely with leaders across the organization, including Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Legal, Regulatory, and senior leadership, to develop integrated communications strategies that bring Amylyx’s science, culture, pipeline, and business milestones to life.

The ideal candidate is a strategic communications professional with deep expertise in digital and social media and exceptional storytelling skills. They are equally comfortable developing high-level channel strategies, advising stakeholders, identifying new opportunities to strengthen engagement, and creating compelling content. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment, proactively brings forward ideas and recommendations, and is passionate about building and evolving a digital program that delivers measurable impact.

Responsibilities

Digital Channel Strategy

  • Manage Amylyx's digital communications ecosystem, driving integrated content strategies that strengthen corporate reputation, support business objectives, and engage key stakeholders.
  • Establish and optimize digital channel strategies, content governance, and performance measurement frameworks to ensure scalable, data-driven communications programs.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on digital communications, social media, and content strategy, translating business priorities into effective audience engagement opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen and expand Amylyx’s digital presence through emerging platforms, innovative content approaches, evolving audience behaviors, and industry best practices.
  • Leverage analytics, audience insights, and performance data to inform strategy, optimize channel effectiveness, and recommend enhancements that increase engagement and business impact.

Social Media and Website Content Strategy

  • Serve as the strategic lead for Amylyx’s corporate social media presence, developing channel-specific content that elevate key corporate narratives and support business objectives.
  • Lead content strategy and governance for Amylyx’s corporate website and other owned digital properties, ensuring content remains up-to-date, aligned with stakeholder needs, and reflective of SEO, GEO, and UX best practices; manage all updates with web developer team.
  • Support the development of integrated digital communications plans and content recommendations for corporate milestones, business updates, and key announcements, ensuring coordinated storytelling and a consistent experience across social media, web, email, and other owned channels.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to increase leadership visibility and stakeholder engagement through digital channels, providing recommendations on content, timing, and platform strategy.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Advocacy, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Legal, Regulatory, Investor Relations, and senior leadership teams to proactively identify communications opportunities, shape content strategies, and guide the development of compliant, audience-centered digital content.

Internal Digital Communications

  • Support the development and execution of internal communications programs that keep employees informed, connected, and engaged.
  • Create content for internal channels, including Lynx, and Teams.
  • Translate business updates and external announcements into clear, relevant communications for employees.
  • Manage content and ongoing updates for Amylyx’s intranet (“Lynx”), ensuring information is current and accessible.
  • Introduce new tools, content ideas, and engagement activities that enhance the employee experience and increase participation across internal channels.
  • Track and report on internal communications and engagement metrics.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience on a Corporate Communications and/or Digital Communications team, preferably in the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences space.
  • Demonstrated experience shaping and leading digital communications strategies for a corporate brand in a heavily regulated industry, with responsibility for channel performance, audience engagement, and business impact.
  • Deep expertise in social media and digital communications, including experience identifying emerging trends, developing strategic recommendations, and translating insights into effective communications programs.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with experience translating complex scientific information into clear, engaging communications for both external and internal audiences.
  • Experience owning and optimizing digital channels, including social media platforms, corporate websites, intranets, email blasts, and employee communication tools, with a focus on continuous improvement and audience engagement.
  • Proven ability to develop content strategies that support corporate priorities, executive visibility, business milestones, and organizational culture.
  • Experience partnering with website vendors, digital platform owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to manage content governance, improve user experience, and evolve digital platforms to meet business needs.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, influence decision-making, and drive initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience leveraging channel performance data, audience insights, and industry trends to inform communications strategies and optimize results.
  • Executive presence and experience advising senior leaders on digital communications strategies, executive visibility, social media engagement, and organizational communications.
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering across functions and levels of an organization and sound judgment and composure in high-pressure environments.

Work Location and Conditions

  • At Amylyx, we proudly support remote work opportunities within the United States. However, due to business considerations related to health insurance coverage and state tax regulations, we are unable to hire employees who reside and/or work in certain states. Currently, we are not considering applicants from Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Michigan and Tennessee.
  • You will be expected to travel to our corporate location in Cambridge, MA several times a year and attend other company-related events as necessary and requested.
  • You must have access to work in setting which enables meeting all requirements of the role (including privacy, reliable internet access, phone, ability to video conference, etc.) at your remote location.

Compensation

The pay range posted below represents our good faith estimate of compensation for this role, based on market data and internal benchmarks. The final offer may vary depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as considerations of internal equity.
