Project Manager, Donor Marketing & Community Engagement job description

General Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects that support donor marketing, community engagement, and brand awareness initiatives. Oversees project timelines, workflows, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with organizational goals. Monitors project progress and throughput to maintain efficiency, meet deadlines, and achieve desired outcomes.

Provide world class customer service by capturing and being responsive to the voice of the customer (internal or external, including donors for select positions) through multiple feedback channels in order to resolve issues and drive satisfaction in accordance with the BBG customer engagement, feedback, and complaint processes.

 

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Tasks

·         Oversee and manage donor and community-centered program development, delivery, and data analysis to ensure efficacy and efficiency.

·         Program Management:

·         Under the direction of the Director, Donor Marketing & Community Engagement, the Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and evaluations of strategic program efforts (Gallon Donor Recognition, Heroes in Arms, GenGive, Double Your Impact, and Band of Donors) that meet/exceed performance objectives and critical milestones (short-term and long term).

·         Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and achievement of program goals.

·         Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

·         Develop and document processes, policies and best practices to support program success.

·         Donor Marketing:

·         Under the direction of the Director, Donor Marketing & Community Engagement, the Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordination and execution of the donor marketing and brand awareness projects from initiation through completion.

·         Develop and manage project timelines, work plans, and milestones to ensure projects are completed on schedule.

·         Monitor project progress, throughput, and deliverables to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and operational priorities.

·         Facilitate communication among stakeholders, ensuring clear expectations, timely updates, and effective collaboration.

·         Support multiple projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities and deadlines

·         Community Engagement:

·         Under the direction of the Director, Donor Marketing & Community Engagement, the Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing community engagement initiatives that enhance organizational visibility and strengthen community relationships.

·         Plan, coordinate, and execute community engagement initiatives, events, and outreach activities that support organizational goals and community awareness.

·         Manage community and internal events, including logistics, timelines, vendors, resources, and on-site execution.

·         Coordinate sponsorship opportunities and community partnerships to increase organizational visibility and engagement.

·         Coordinate staff, volunteers, and cross-functional teams to support community and internal engagement activities.

·         Track event participation, sponsorship commitments, budgets, and performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.

Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

Education

Required Minimum Education

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work related to the field of assignment.

Preferred Education

 

Licenses and/or Certifications

·         Valid United States Driver’s License

 

Experience

Required Minimum Experience

·         Requires five or more years of experience in marketing, program management, project management, event planning or a related role.

 

Knowledge

·         Must show demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.

·         Must have strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

·         Must display proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.


Skills

·         Must possess strong organizational, customer service, and troubleshooting skills.

·         Must have excellent project management skills.

·         Must have strong time management, public speaking, negotiation, and conflict management skills; strong organizational skills essential.

·         Must be capable of effectively working with individuals at all position levels in the organization to identify, understand and communicate their business requirements.

·         Must be capable of operating motor vehicles in all types of weather conditions.

·         Must have strong computer skills.

·         Must have excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

·         Must have the ability to meet time deadlines, connect and interrelate disparate ideas and thoughts, pay attention to detail, and work effectively with varying constituencies.



Physical Requirements

Must be able to drive on behalf of the organization.

Will sit, stand, walk, and bend during working hours.

Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.

Required to lift and carry relatively light materials.

Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing corrected to a normal range.
