Brand Marketing Lead job description

Hinge is the dating app designed to be deleted

In today's digital world, finding genuine relationships is tougher than ever. At Hinge, we’re on a mission to inspire intimate connection to create a less lonely world. We’re obsessed with understanding our users’ behaviors to help them find love, and our success is defined by one simple metric– setting up great dates. With millions of users across the globe, we’ve become the most trusted way to find a relationship, for all.

About the Role

Hinge is looking for a Brand Marketing Lead to join our Global Brand Marketing team. In this role, you'll independently steer integrated brand campaigns across our global markets — owning the full arc from brief through launch and bringing as much strategic curiosity to the work as organizational rigor.

You'll shape campaign briefs as a thought partner to Strategy and Creative, lead the relationships with external agency partners on your campaigns, and serve as a sounding board for the Sr. Director on where the brand shows up and why. You hold a point of view on what makes a campaign earn its place in culture, and you're accountable for making sure the work that launches lives up to it.

You report to the Sr. Director, Global Brand Marketing. This is an individual contributor role.

Responsibilities

  • Independently steer integrated brand campaigns with minimal oversight, owning the arc from brief through launch.

  • Shape campaign briefs and go-to-market plans as a thought partner to Strategy, contributing business context, consumer feedback, and performance insight — and carrying the agreed strategic intent through to launch.

  • Lead the agency relationships on your campaigns, aligning on scope, setting shared expectations, managing partnership health, and course-correcting early when something isn't working.

  • Hold a high creative bar with internal Creative teams and agency partners, advocating decisively for what's right for the brand.

  • Align cross-functional stakeholders to keep projects aligned and moving, flagging risks early and bringing structure to complex workstreams.

  • Lead how cultural partnerships and sponsorships show up in your campaigns, partnering with Comms on selection and fit.

  • Own the campaign performance narrative with Growth & Analytics and Media teams, engaging as a partner on channel and budget tradeoffs and feeding learnings into future work.

  • Serve as a thought partner to the Sr. Director on annual global brand planning and campaign budget allocation.

  • Bring brand and go-to-market expertise to marketing initiatives led by other teams, contributing strategic perspective, channel fluency, and creative judgment where it's needed.

  • Stay attuned to cultural, consumer, and competitive trends, bringing curiosity about culture to every campaign you touch.

  • What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in brand marketing, either at a creative agency or in-house at a consumer brand (or a mix of both).
  • A track record of independently leading integrated, multi-market campaigns end-to-end — with real ownership of briefs, agency relationships, and results.
  • A point of view on brand and culture. You care about what a brand stands for in the world, understand how culture moves, and bring that conviction to every brief, review, and partner conversation.
  • Experience leading external agency relationships: briefing, evaluating work, managing partnership health, and advocating clearly for what makes the work right.
  • A creative collaborator — you're as comfortable throwing out ideas and pushing thinking as you are knowing when something isn't right and saying so.
  • You convert ambiguity into a recommendation. You escalate decisions and run complex programs without needing day-to-day direction.
  • Fluency in paid media and measurement. You can engage on channel and budget tradeoffs, read performance results, and know what questions to ask.
  • Highly organized and execution-focused, with a track record of keeping complex, multi-market campaigns on track.
  • Energized by Hinge's mission to create a less lonely world.
  • As a member of our team, you’ll enjoy:

401(k) Matching: We match 100% of the first 10% of pre-tax 401(k) contributions you make, up to a maximum of $10,000 per year.

Professional Growth: Get an annual Learning & Development stipend once you’ve been with us for three months. You also get free access to Udemy, an online learning and teaching marketplace with over 6000 courses, starting your first day.

Parental Leave & Planning: When you become a new parent, you’re eligible for 100% paid parental leave (20 paid weeks for both birth and non-birth parents.)

Fertility Support: You’ll get easy access to fertility care through Carrot, from basic treatments to fertility preservation. We also provide a stipend towards fertility preservation. You and your spouse/domestic partner are both eligible.

Date Stipend: All Hinge employees receive a $100 monthly stipend for epic dates– Romantic or otherwise. Hinge Premium is also free for employees and their loved ones.

ERGs: We have eight Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)—Asian, Unapologetic, Disability, LGBTQIA+, Raices, Women/Nonbinary, Parents —that hold regular meetings, host events, and provide dedicated support to the organization & its community.

At Hinge, our core values are…

Courage: We embrace lofty goals and tough challenges.

Empathy: We deeply consider the perspective of others.

    Diversity inspires innovation
