Audience Development & Digital Marketing Coordinator job description

The Audience Development & Digital Marketing Coordinator supports all digital marketing, content creation, administrative functions, and frontofhouse needs for the organization. This role ensures smooth execution of digital campaigns, maintains marketing systems, and provides essential support for sales, customer service, day-to-day, and
production
week operations. 


Core Responsibilities 

Digital Content & Execution 

  • Draft, build, and schedule email campaigns. 
  • Update website content and ensure accuracy. 
  • Create and post social media content. 
  • Maintain digital asset libraries and content archives. 

Administrative & Operational Support 

  • Assist with subscription sales and customer service, including answering phones and processing orders. 
  • Support data entry, reporting, and CRM maintenance. 
    • Assist with invoice processing, vendor coordination, and departmental logistics.

Campaign Support 

  • Assist the Manager with asset coordination and delivery. 
  • Prepare digital materials for campaigns, including resizing graphics and updating links. 
  • Support reporting and analytics by gathering data and preparing summaries. 

Production & FrontofHouse Support 

  • Provide onsite support during production weeks. 
  • Assist with FOH needs including lobby setup, signage placement, program distribution, and audience engagement activities. 
  • Capture content (photos/video) for digital use. 
  • Support press and photographer coordination as needed. 
  • Attend performances and events as required. 

Additional Responsibilities 

  • Other duties as assigned. 


Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Arts Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 
  • 1–3 years of experience in digital marketing, communications, or a related administrative/coordinator role; internship experience in the performing arts or nonprofit sector is a plus. 
  • Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms and website content management systems. 
  • Familiarity with social media content creation and scheduling tools. 
  • Basic photo/video editing skills for resizing and preparing digital assets. 
  • Comfort with data entry, CRM maintenance, and preparing basic reporting summaries. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadline-driven tasks simultaneously. 
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours during production weeks and peak on-sale periods. 
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach and willingness to take on varied administrative and production-support tasks. 
  • Knowledge of opera is a plus, but a passion for the performing arts is essential.
