An Audience Development Manager leads the strategy for growing, engaging, and retaining an audience across digital platforms, including social media, email, search, and streaming. They analyse audience data to identify growth opportunities, develop distribution and acquisition campaigns, and work cross-functionally with content, marketing, and product teams to ensure content reaches the right people at the right time. In music and media contexts, they may also manage artist or brand audience growth across DSPs and social channels, translating platform analytics into actionable editorial and promotional strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute audience growth and retention strategies across digital and social platforms
- Analyse audience data and platform analytics to identify trends and optimise distribution
- Plan and manage audience development campaigns, including paid and organic acquisition
- Collaborate with content, editorial, and marketing teams to align distribution with audience goals
