Videographer job description

About Us

Dorsia is at the forefront of hospitality-tech innovation, redefining how the world gains access to the most in-demand restaurants, events, and experiences. By fusing cutting-edge technology with the art of luxury hospitality, we empower our members to secure impossible-to-get reservations while providing operators with unprecedented levels of control, visibility, and revenue optimization.

In 2025, we grew revenue 480% and scaled to 400+ venues across 25 destinations, with the launch of our Culture Calendar extending Dorsia beyond restaurants into the world's most sought-after cultural moments.

Backed by $54M in funding from investors including Index Ventures, Invus, and Red Sea Ventures, and strategic partners including MoonPay, Major Food Group, and The Dinex Group / Daniel Boulud, we are entering our most consequential phase of growth and reshaping the global hospitality landscape. We're adding exceptional talent to drive what comes next.

About the Role

Dorsia is seeking a Videographer to capture the world we operate in as it happens. This is a role for a creative who can walk into a restaurant, an event, or a founder spotlight and come away with a story, working independently across documentary, event, and social-first formats.

This is a role on the move. You will travel between our New York and Miami offices, across our markets, and global event destinations, filming docu-series episodes, large-scale event coverage, recurring franchises like Designing Delicious, and social-first series. You bring your own gear, you know how to run a shoot without a crew behind you, and you shoot as comfortably on an iPhone as you do on a cinema camera. If you want your work in front of an audience quickly and often, this is where you build.

What You’ll Do

Shooting & Field Production

  • Film docu-series episodes, founder and member content, and behind-the-scenes stories across our markets.
  • Cover large-scale Dorsia events, activations, and cultural moments end to end.
  • Shoot recurring produced series including Designing Delicious and our Mini Mic social franchise.
  • Capture restaurant, venue, and partner content that meets the standard our operators and members expect.
  • Produce recruiting, staff, and hiring content that shows what working at Dorsia actually looks like.
  • Run shoots independently, handling camera, lighting, and audio without needing a large crew.

Story & Craft

  • Find the shot. Anticipate what the edit needs and capture the B-roll, coverage, and moments that let an editor tell the story.
  • Shoot for both vertical and horizontal formats, with an instinct for what holds attention on social.
  • Move fluidly between polished produced work and fast, rough-and-ready capture depending on what the moment calls for.
  • Handle light editing and quick-turn assembly when speed matters more than a full post cycle.

Collaboration & Workflow

  • Work closely with producers, editors, designers, and the social team, and understand the larger creative idea behind every shoot.
  • Keep files, raw footage, and project assets organized, labeled, and properly backed up after every shoot.
  • Hand off cleanly to our in-house editors so nothing stalls between capture and publish.
  • Travel frequently, often on short notice, and adapt to a schedule that runs on the hospitality clock.

Technical Skills

  • Run a shoot self-sufficiently, owning camera, lighting, and audio on your own.
  • Shoot fluently across camera systems, with hands-on experience on setups like the Sony FX3/FX6 and Canon C70/C100, and equal comfort shooting on an iPhone.
  • Edit your own quick-turn material, with working knowledge of a standard post workflow.

The Winning Recipe

  • 2-5 years of professional videography experience.
  • Based in New York, NY or Miami, FL, with the flexibility and appetite to travel regularly.
  • A portfolio of work demonstrating range across interviews, events, restaurants, lifestyle, documentary-style storytelling, and quick-turn social content.
  • Access to your own professional camera setup suitable for the role. We do not supply a camera.
  • Collaborative, low-ego, and energized by a high-output environment where formats are still being built.
  • Genuine interest in luxury, culture, hospitality, or premium consumer brands.
  • Experience in luxury, hospitality, or lifestyle brands is a plus.

Compensation:

New York Pay Range
$85,000$105,000 USD

Workplace Philosophy at Dorsia

At Dorsia, we believe that culture eats strategy. The best ideas in the world mean nothing without the right people around the table and the right chemistry between them. We are, unapologetically, a people-first organization.

In-Person Matters

We’re creating once-in-a-lifetime experiences for the most discerning audience in the world. That doesn’t happen over Zoom. It happens through collisions: a spark across a desk, a kitchen-side conversation that unlocks a partnership, the energy of ideas felt, not typed. That’s why in-office culture is non-negotiable at Dorsia.

Who We Hire

We don’t subscribe to check-the-box hiring. We hire for merit and mindset, which naturally creates a team with varied backgrounds. What unites us isn’t demographics, it’s a shared vision: to build the social operating system for the cultural vanguard.

Lifestyle Hours

We’re not a 9-to-5 company. Our lifestyle mirrors our members. Early flights, after-work events, and late-night sprints when the work demands it. But we love what we do, and we definitely love a good party.

High Performance Culture

Working at Dorsia isn’t for everyone—and that’s the point. Our culture is designed for builders, not passengers. We move fast, set ambitious standards, and expect people to rise to them. If you have the talent and the drive, this will be a ride to remember.

A Final Word

We’re building something special. It will take long hours and relentless effort. It’s not for everyone. For those with the metabolism, you’ll create something that changes how culture is lived. And that’s the kind of work worth your life’s energy.
