Department: Student Engagement & Supports

Job Title: Videographer

Duration/Term Length: 1 Academic Semester

Work Hours: Hours may fluctuate – On Average 10 – 15 Hours a Week


Shift availability may vary from time to time.


Location: Hybrid – All Campuses; Some Remote Work


Job Purpose:

CCSAI is looking for a student to work with our Marketing and Communications team to capture and curate video content for all CCSAI Channels. The Videographer works with a team of professional staff to support Centennial students and the goals of the organization.


The types of video content can vary from promotional and live coverage of events, promotion of services and space, and a variety of social media content. The Videographer will work closely with the Marketing and Communication team and other Engagement Staff Team members to brainstorm, outline, shoot and edit video content.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Shoot and edit quality video content during CCSAI or College programming, and general campus programming.
  • Archive and maintain organized shared digital assets on a regular basis.
  • Sets up and operates film equipment, including audio and lighting equipment, for live and studio productions. Ensure that all equipment is looked after and stored correctly with support from the Marketing & Communications team.
  • Adhere to deadlines and submit all necessary content in a timely manner.
  • Conceptualize video content, draft scripts, story boards, and shoot & edit content for distribution.
  • Ensure final video content is complete with logos, visual elements, meet technical requirements and are on-brand for CCSAI networks.
  • Assist the Marketing & Communications team in developing and executing promotional campaigns and engagements on the CCSAI digital channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and Web)
  • Attends meetings and/or trainings that are scheduled throughout the term.
  • Support the Student Engagement & Supports department with other required duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience as a videographer or video editor is an asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of videography software, lighting, editing, colouring, and audio mixing.
  • Demonstrated understanding and familiarity with utilizing and managing film equipment.
  • Available to travel to all campus locations.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Access to film equipment is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be professional and respectful at all times.


Knowledge of the following platforms is an asset:

  • Adobe Creative Suite - Premiere Pro, After Effects
  • DaVinci Resolve, AVID Media Composer
  • Canva
  • Dropbox
  • SharePoint
  • Teamwork Project Management
  • Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite


Eligibility

  1. Must be enrolled as a full-time student for the current semester.
  2. Demonstrate good academic standing.
  3. Must have a Canadian Social Insurance Number.
  4. Available for up to 10 hours a week.
