About the Role

A fast-growing, Europe-headquartered AI SaaS company — building AI phone assistant technology for SMEs globally — is looking for an experienced SEO Manager to serve as its in-house SEO lead. This is a pivotal, high-ownership role: you will own end-to-end SEO strategy and execution across international markets, starting with the DACH region and expanding worldwide. You'll work at the intersection of technical SEO, content strategy, and emerging AI-driven search, with real budget authority and close collaboration with engineering and web teams.

The company is approximately 50 people and growing rapidly, backed by prominent European and global investors at the Seed stage. Visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate.

What You'll Do

• Own and execute the full SEO strategy across all company markets, with DACH as the starting point and an international expansion mandate.

• Define how pages are built, structured, and optimised — working closely with website and engineering teams on technical SEO.

• Lead keyword research and shape the approach for both traditional search engines and AI-generated results (e.g. answer engines, LLM-powered search).

• Commission or write content needed to achieve top rankings across target markets and languages.

• Manage a monthly SEO budget in the range of €20,000–€30,000.

• Source, brief, and manage external agencies where beneficial, while retaining clear ownership of overall strategy and outcomes.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Proven, dedicated SEO experience at real scale — SEO as your primary, full-time role (not co-owned alongside other responsibilities), with clear, demonstrable results. Industry background matters less than the scale you've operated at.

• International SEO expertise — a strong track record of approaching and winning in markets beyond your home region, including multi-language/multi-market strategy.

• Fluency in both English and German — written and spoken proficiency required for DACH market ownership.

• Strong copywriting skills — the ability to write effective SEO content yourself is a genuine differentiator in this role.

• Hands-on experience with modern website platforms such as Webflow or similar CMS/page-building tools.

• Comfort managing meaningful budgets and holding accountability for SEO ROI.

Nice to have:

• Experience in B2B SaaS or AI/tech products.

• Familiarity with AI search and answer-engine optimisation (AEO/GEO) strategies.

• Experience managing and briefing external SEO agencies.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: €65,000 – €100,000 annually, depending on experience.

Location

This is an on-site role based in Vienna, Austria. The company is headquartered in Vienna and this position is expected to be based there. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.
