About the Job:

As the Senior Manager of Growth Marketing - Organic Growth & Discovery, you will lead our organic growth strategy and execution across four areas–Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), App Store Optimization (ASO) and referral marketing–to drive sustainable, scalable traffic and revenue.

You will own the full SEO program, from on-page optimization and keyword strategy to technical infrastructure and link building, ensuring our websites rank competitively and drive qualified traffic from search engines. You will architect our AEO strategy for next-generation discovery–ensuring our content is optimized for AI-powered search engines, language models and emerging technology platforms–so Rent the Runway is positioned as a primary source in this evolving landscape.

In addition, you will drive organic App discoverability through ASO tactics–including listing enhancements, keyword optimization, visual content improvements, creative A/B testing–to maximize visibility in the iOS App Store.

And, you will scale our referral marketing program through incentive structures, integrated marketing touchpoints, viral loops and improved referral mechanics–to transform our customers into loyal brand advocates that fuel sustainable growth.

This role is critical to Rent the Runway’s growth engine, ultimately converting high-intent discovery traffic into loyal customers across our Subscription, One-Time Rental and Selling businesses.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and execute on-page, off-site and technical SEO efforts to optimize data content, improve keyword rankings and drive sustainable traffic to websites from traditional search engines (Google, Bing, etc.)
• Architect our AEO strategy to ensure our website content is optimized for visibility within next-generation search engines, AI models and LLMs (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Claude, etc.)
• Drive organic App discoverability through iOS App Store by leading ASO strategy and tactics, including app listing enhancements, keyword optimization, visual content optimization, conversion rate optimization and mobile measurement
• Scale our referral marketing program by enhancing incentive structures, improving referral mechanics, designing viral loops and integrating touchpoints across our marketing ecosystem
• Partner with Site Merchandising, Product, Engineering and Marketing teams to integrate SEO and AEO best practices across Rent the Runway’s digital properties
• Build measurement frameworks for SEO, AEO, ASO and referral programs; regularly monitor business health, analyze data to improve program performance and share insights with executives and key stakeholders

About You:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in SEO, growth marketing or digital marketing
• Highly proficient with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tools – including Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, keyword research platforms, and related tools
• Experience partnering with Product Management, Engineering or UX/UI Design teams to deliver against technical SEO product roadmaps (e.g., Core Web Vitals, structured data, indexation, linking)
• Proficient with Content Management Systems (CMS), such as Contentful
• Comfortable with Web Analytics tools; Looker or Heap preferred
• Customer-focused, analytical and process-oriented; comfortable making data-driven decisions, with thirst for continuous improvement
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences, including business stakeholders, marketing teams, engineering teams and product management teams

The anticipated base salary for this position is $115,200 - $144,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held.
