Manager, Growth Marketing job description

Manager, Growth Marketing

This is a hybrid position to the NYC HelloFresh Headquarters

The Manager, Growth Marketing (Factor US) is a performance marketing generalist who takes full ownership of their channel portfolio — managing execution, optimizing performance, and driving results across whatever they own. Direct mail is the current anchor channel and primary focus of this role; it is learnable on the job with strong agency support and a deep library of internal test learnings. Beyond DM, this role actively supports growth planning and performance management across select emerging channels in our mix. We're looking for someone who is energized by variety, brings structured analytical thinking wherever they work, and takes ownership without needing to be an expert from day one.

You will…

  • Own the execution and optimization of Factor's direct mail program — from segmentation and creative briefing through production, deployment, and post-campaign analysis.
  • Support growth planning and performance tracking for select non-DM channels (e.g. podcast, direct sales) in partnership with respective channel leads — bringing analytical structure and executional support where it adds the most value.
  • Manage spend allocation within approved budgets, continuously seeking opportunities to improve efficiency and ROI across your channel portfolio.
  • Partner with creative and print agency partners to manage campaign production timelines, briefs, and quality standards — holding partners accountable and escalating when needed.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors including printers, mail houses, and data providers to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, creative, and analytics to ensure campaigns are aligned with broader marketing objectives.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to continuously optimize performance across your channel portfolio, driving improvements in response rates, conversion rates, and ROI.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis on campaign performance, including key metrics and actionable recommendations for optimization.
  • Oversee the direct mail marketing calendar, ensuring timely execution and coordination with other marketing channels.
  • Support Finance and Legal processes including forecasting inputs, invoice approvals, and contract documentation.

You are…

  • A multi-channel performance operator: You have 4–6 years of experience with demonstrated end-to-end ownership of at least one performance or direct response channel — including budget management, vendor or partner relationships, creative briefing, and performance reporting. You pick up new channels by applying first principles, not by waiting until you're an expert.
  • Analytical: You build forecasts, run retrospectives, and derive actionable insights from campaign data. You are comfortable working in Excel or Google Sheets and fluent in performance marketing KPIs. You know how to tell the story behind the numbers.
  • Creative: You have a strong creative eye — you can write a focused brief, evaluate creative output against strategic objectives, and give structured, actionable feedback to agency and creative partners.
  • A strong vendor manager: You know how to manage external partners — setting clear expectations, holding them to timelines and quality standards, and escalating when they fall short.
  • A clear communicator: You communicate clearly with cross-functional partners, channel leads, and agency contacts to keep campaigns on track and aligned.
  • Detail-oriented: You possess strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality across all aspects of campaign execution.
  • Results-driven: You are motivated by measurable outcomes and continuously look to improve campaign performance across your portfolio.
  • Tech-forward: You actively look for ways to use AI and automation to work smarter — whether in drafting creative briefs, building reports, or analyzing performance.

At a minimum, you have…

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of at least one performance marketing channel — including budget management, creative briefing, vendor or partner management, and performance reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience building campaign forecasts and running performance retrospectives.
  • Strong creative judgment — ability to evaluate briefs and creative output and give structured, actionable feedback.
  • Demonstrated experience managing external vendor or agency relationships.
  • Familiarity with digital channel fundamentals — including how to read performance data, identify optimization levers, and work effectively with channel leads across different formats.
  • Fluency in growth marketing KPIs such as CAC, CPA, CPM, CVR, and LTV.
  • Familiarity with campaign budgeting and spend tracking; comfort working within established financial frameworks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Comfort using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to accelerate campaign workflows — including brief writing, performance summarization, audience hypothesis development, and reporting.

You’ll get…

  • 401k with company match that vest immediately upon participation, and company equity plan based on role
  • Generous PTO, including sabbatical, and parental leave of up to 16 weeks
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits with options at $0 monthly, effective first day of employment
  • Tuition reimbursement for continuing education (upon 2 years of service)
  • Up to 85% discount on subscriptions to HelloFresh meal plans (HelloFresh, Green Chef, Everyplate, and Factor_)
  • Access to 7 different Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) including those for BIPOC, women, veterans, parents, and LGBTQ+
  • Inclusive, collaborative, and dynamic work environment within a fast-paced, mission-driven company that is disrupting the traditional food supply chain

This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the responsibilities. However, the Company reserves the right to adjust, modify, or reassign work tasks and responsibilities as needed to meet changing business needs, operational requirements, or other factors.
