VP Growth Marketing job description
About CodeRabbit
CodeRabbit is the leading AI code review platform, trusted by more than 17,000 customers and 150,000 open-source projects, conducting over 2 million code reviews each week. We build the symbiotic partnership between developers and AI that makes shipping fast software safe again, reviewing every pull request, IDE change, and CLI commit so teams can move quickly without breaking things.
We are a fast-moving, well-funded company, fresh off a $143M Series C at a $1.5B valuation — building Agentic Change Management, the control layer for software changes created by humans and agents. As AI writes more of the world's code, the bottleneck moves from implementation to judgment and helping human judgment scale is exactly the problem we exist to solve.
Location: San Francisco - Hybrid
Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer
CodeRabbit helps engineering teams review code with higher signal, stronger context, and less drag on the pull-request workflow. As AI-generated code increases, the bottleneck moves downstream: teams still need to catch risk, understand intent, and merge with confidence.
We're hiring a VP of Growth Marketing to build the growth engine for that moment.
You'll own how CodeRabbit finds, converts, and expands its audience—from individual developers discovering the product to enterprise teams standardizing it across their software-development lifecycle. This role sits at the intersection of product, sales, developer marketing, demand generation, lifecycle, and analytics.
What you'll do
Set the growth strategy across PLG and enterprise motions, with clear bets, targets, and operating cadence.
Build a measurable full-funnel engine: acquisition, activation, trial conversion, pipeline creation, expansion, and retention influence.
Lead demand generation across paid, organic, lifecycle, partner, community, and developer channels.
Improve the path from first product interaction to durable team adoption.
Partner with Product and Engineering on growth experiments, onboarding, pricing and packaging signals, and conversion opportunities.
Partner with Sales and Customer Success on account-based programs, pipeline quality, expansion plays, and market feedback.
Build attribution and reporting that helps the company decide where to invest—and stop investing.
Hire and develop a high-performing growth team across performance marketing, lifecycle, operations, and analytics.
Protect the quality of the brand while moving quickly. Developers can spot empty marketing from a mile away.
What you bring
10+ years in growth or demand-generation leadership, including experience owning a company-level growth number.
A track record scaling B2B SaaS, ideally with both self-serve/PLG and sales-assisted motions.
Deep fluency in lifecycle marketing, paid acquisition, conversion-rate optimization, attribution, and growth analytics.
Experience marketing technical products to developers, engineering leaders, or security/IT buyers.
Strong judgment about channel quality: you know the difference between attention, intent, and revenue.
Experience building teams and operating systems, not just running campaigns.
Comfort working closely with product, data, sales, customer success, and executive leadership.
Clear writing and a bias for concrete claims over generic AI marketing language.
Nice to have
Experience in developer tools, AI infrastructure, code quality, security, or the modern SDLC.
Experience taking a company from strong product pull to a more mature multi-channel revenue engine.
Familiarity with enterprise buying cycles and technical evaluation motions.
What success looks like
More qualified developers and engineering teams reach CodeRabbit through repeatable acquisition channels.
Trials activate faster and convert with a clearer understanding of product value.
Marketing contributes meaningful, measurable pipeline and expansion revenue.
Growth decisions are grounded in cohort behavior, channel economics, and customer evidence.
Sales, Product, and Marketing operate from one shared view of the funnel.
CodeRabbit is building for a world where more code is written by agents, but accountability still belongs to engineering teams. If you want to shape how that market discovers, adopts, and trusts the product, we'd like to hear from you.
