GRAPHIC DESIGNER AND DIGITAL MARKETING COORDINATOR job description

ZAR 16,000 per month | Full-Time | Office-Based, Gqeberha

Company Overview

Our client operates eight hospitality venues across London. The portfolio includes cocktail bars, pubs, restaurants, late-night venues and event-led spaces, each with its own customer profile, operating model and brand identity.

The Opportunity

This is a design-led role with wider digital marketing responsibilities. The successful candidate will produce accurate, brand-consistent artwork; convert venue-supplied photographs and videos into high-quality social content; schedule approved posts; maintain venue websites; prepare Mailchimp campaigns; and report on performance against the group marketing calendar.

Requirements

Main Responsibilities

• Design menus, posters, flyers, social graphics, event artwork, advertisements, digital screens and other print or online marketing materials.
• Apply the correct brand bible, logo, typography, colour palette and design approach for each of our client's eight venues.
• Manage approved content schedules for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other assigned channels using Metricool.
• Edit venue-supplied photographs and video into posts, reels, stories and short-form content.
• Issue clear shot lists and content briefs to London venue teams and follow up missing or unusable source material.
• Write or refine captions and promotional copy from approved campaign information supplied by our client.
• Update WordPress websites with current menus, events, opening hours, offers, images and venue information.
• Build and format approved email newsletters in Mailchimp.
• Maintain an organised digital asset library with clear file names, current versions and print-ready exports.
• Track reach, engagement, clicks, website activity and booking-related results, and provide monthly performance reporting.

Required Experience and Skills

• Professional graphic design experience supported by a strong portfolio.
• Confident use of Adobe Creative Cloud, including relevant applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom or Premiere Pro.
• Strong working knowledge of Canva and social-platform asset requirements.
• Experience editing photographs, reels, stories and short-form video.
• Experience managing business social media accounts and content schedules.
• Strong written English and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work across multiple brands without making them look identical.
• WordPress experience is strongly preferred; Metricool and Mailchimp experience are desirable.
• Reliable internet access, appropriate computer equipment and a suitable remote working environment.

The Ideal Candidate

The role suits a disciplined designer who understands that marketing execution is not only creative. Accuracy, version control, brand compliance, deadline management and structured communication are essential. The strongest candidate will be able to interpret a brief, challenge unclear information before publication and manage a high volume of work across eight different venue brands.
