Role Overview

We’re looking for a Junior Graphic Designer & Marketing Assistant to join a growing photography-focused startup. This is a junior, hands-on role ideal for someone early in their career who enjoys wearing multiple hats and wants to grow alongside a creative business.

Your primary focus will be graphic design, supporting visual content across marketing, social media, and client-facing materials. In addition, you’ll assist with influencer outreach, light administrative tasks, and occasional support with sales or partnership-related activities. This role is perfect for a highly organized, proactive individual with a startup mindset who enjoys creative work, learning new skills, and contributing wherever needed.

This is a fun, fast-paced environment centered around photography, creativity, and building a brand - so curiosity, energy, and flexibility are key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create engaging graphic designs for social media, marketing campaigns, presentations, and digital assets

  • Support visual content needs for photography-related projects and promotions

  • Assist with influencer outreach, including researching creators, sending outreach messages, and tracking responses

  • Maintain basic outreach and contact lists, follow-ups, and status updates

  • Handle ad hoc virtual assistant and administrative tasks as needed (e.g., scheduling, organization, simple research)

  • Support basic sales or partnership activities, such as preparing materials or assisting with follow-ups

  • Help keep digital files, assets, and workflows organized

  • Collaborate with the founder and team to support day-to-day business needs

  • Bring creative ideas and contribute to a positive, startup-style working environment

Required Qualifications

  • Experience (or strong practical experience) in graphic design or visual content creation

  • Proficiency with basic design tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail

  • Comfortable handling multiple small tasks in a fast-moving startup environment

  • Clear written communication skills and confidence reaching out to influencers or partners

  • Prior remote work experience is required, with fluency in remote collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Asana, or similar; candidates must have experience working with US- or UK-based companies - applications without this experience will not be considered

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest or background in photography, creative industries, or social media

  • Exposure to influencer marketing, outreach, or basic sales support

  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)

  • Startup or small business experience

  • Willingness to learn new tools, platforms, and processes

  • Graphic design tools (Figma, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)

  • Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)

  • Social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)

  • Outreach and communication tools (email, Slack)

  • Project or task management tools (Asana, Trello, or similar)
