Job Description
As a Bilingual Translator and Editor, you will combine your exceptional language skills, cultural understanding, and editorial expertise to ensure the accuracy, fluency, and quality of content across multiple languages. Your role will encompass translating written materials from one language to another while also editing and refining content to meet high editorial standards. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication abilities, and a deep appreciation for linguistic nuances.
Responsibilities:
- Translation: Translate written content, documents, and materials from one language to another (English/Arabic Arabi/English), ensuring accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and adherence to context.
- Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit translated content to ensure it maintains the intended meaning, style, and tone. Correct grammatical errors, punctuation, syntax, and formatting.
- Localization: Adapt content to suit the cultural and linguistic nuances of the target audience, ensuring that idioms, expressions, and cultural references are accurately conveyed.
- Language Proficiency: Demonstrate fluency and proficiency in both source and target languages, with a deep understanding of grammar, vocabulary, and language structure.
- Quality Control: Ensure the final translated and edited content meets high-quality standards and aligns with the organization's guidelines and branding.
- Collaboration: Work closely with writers, content creators, designers, and other team members to deliver seamless and impactful multilingual content.
- Research: Conduct research to ensure accurate translation and effective communication of specialized terminology and industry-specific jargon.
- Deadlines and Prioritization: Manage multiple translation and editing projects, meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, Communications, or a related field.
- Fluency in at least two languages (source and target) with exceptional proficiency in grammar, vocabulary, and syntax.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in both translation and editing.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
