Creative Director (All U.S. Offices) job description

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an experienced, passionate, strategic and visionary Creative Director to guide our team towards crafting impactful and innovative creative solutions for our world-class clients. In this role, you will lead the development of integrated creative campaigns that connect audience insight and business strategy to exceptional creative execution. You will lead multidisciplinary teams in delivering breakthrough work across digital, social, web, video, and traditional channels while serving as a trusted partner to clients and internal teams. This role requires a collaborative leader who can inspire teams, mentor talent, direct both visual and written creative development, and confidently present and defend creative recommendations. Success in this role comes from balancing strategic thinking, creative excellence, team leadership, and operational stewardship to drive meaningful client impact and sustainable growth. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS 


  • Leads the development of integrated creative campaigns from concept through activation, spanning digital, social, web, video, and traditional media channels, ensuring they are on strategy, on time, and on budget

  • Leads the creative concepting process, ensuring innovative and original ideas are consistently delivered

  • Maintains a hands-on approach in the creative development process, providing guidance on art direction, design and copy to ensure the highest quality of creative output

  • Directs both visual and written creative development, ensuring consistency and excellence across deliverables

  • Builds client relationships, and grows a
    specific client roster alongside Client
    Partners  ​

  • Serves as the senior creative voice in client presentations, workshops, and strategic creative discussions

  • Manages, in tandem with Client Partnership and Project Management, the overall health and wellness of accounts – including budgets, timelines, quality of work, and resourcing

  • Works with client partners to identify organic opportunities to grow existing accounts, or pursue new business with prospective clients

  • Stays abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices to expand creative offerings

  • Establishes and enforces creative standards and guidelines within Global Prairie to maintain high-quality design and cohesive brand messaging across all client projects

  • Collaborates closely with the Insight & Strategy teams to ensure creative concepts are data-driven and grounded in audience insight

  • Manages the selection and direction of external creative partners, including photographers, illustrators, and production companies as needed

  • Aligns and deploys internal and external creative resources to maximize quality, efficiency, and team utilization 

  • Builds and develops high-performing creative teams through mentoring, coaching, and career development support 

  • Fosters an environment of collaboration and
    pushes the team to create high quality creative work
    that exceeds expectations

  • Leverages experience and expertise across a variety of media, including video
    production, digital, social and traditional 

  • Engages in new business initiatives, providing creative leadership and support as needed

 

Additionally, the ideal candidate meets these qualifications:


  • 8+ years of experience, with prior roles in a creative and/or agency setting and demonstrated increasing responsibility 

  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365

  • Proficiency with MacOS

  • Experience managing a designated team and working cross functionally with other company leaders

 

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed upon compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including but not limited to: candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experiences and may fall outside the range shown.   • Expected Compensation Range: $110,000 – $150,000

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK CONDITIONS 

The physical activity required of this position includes standing, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, kneeling, reaching, stooping, talking, hearing and use of repetitive motion.  Light work is required of this position, occasionally lifting or moving objects between 10-20 pounds.  The visual acuity of this position requires the ability to operate a motor vehicle.  This position will not be substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
