A Livestream Producer plans, sets up, and operates live video broadcasts from pre-production through to the moment the stream goes live and beyond. They configure streaming software and hardware, manage camera feeds, audio levels, graphics overlays, and scene transitions in real time, while coordinating with hosts, guests, and technical crew. Between live events, they often edit recorded footage for on-demand distribution, ensuring consistent quality across both live and post-produced content.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and operate streaming software and hardware for live broadcasts
- Manage multi-camera feeds, audio mixing, and graphics overlays in real time
- Coordinate with hosts, guests, and on-screen talent during live events
- Monitor stream health, latency, and platform output quality throughout broadcasts
- Edit and repurpose recorded livestream footage for on-demand publishing
- Develop run-of-show documents and technical production plans for each event
