Associate Manager, Growth Marketing Operations job description

The Opportunity

Growth Marketing Operations sits at the center of some of Hinge Health’s most complex, cross-functional workflows. As new implementations and associated processes scale, we need a Project Manager who can bring structure to ambiguity, stabilize execution, and turn reactive coordination into more durable ways of working.

This role is best suited for a systems-minded operator who can coordinate work across business and technical teams, design clearer operating models, and improve how work moves from intake through launch and ongoing support. You will help create the ownership structures, planning mechanisms, escalation paths, and visibility needed for complex marketing and operational programs to run more reliably.

You will partner closely with stakeholders across Growth, Data Science, Commercial Operations, Engineering, QA, and other teams to improve cross-functional execution, reduce manual coordination, and strengthen the workflows that support launch readiness and operational scale.

What You’ll Accomplish

  • In your first 3 months

    • Audit the current state of one or more complex marketing and operational workflows, including intake, handoffs, dependencies, approvals, decision points, and failure modes.

    • Build clear current-state process maps, identify where work gets stuck, and begin owning intake and traffic control so recurring work moves through a more reliable operating cadence.

    • Establish stronger visibility into in-flight work, including timelines, owners, risks, and critical dependencies across cross-functional stakeholders.

    • Identify where work is under-scoped, inconsistently tracked, or overly dependent on manual coordination, and recommend practical fixes.

  • In your first 6 months

    • Lead cross-functional coordination across partners such as Acquisition, Data Science, Commercial Operations, Engineering, QA, and other stakeholders.

    • Build and formalize intake models, ownership frameworks, escalation paths, and launch-readiness checkpoints for owned programs.

    • Create troubleshooting and triage workflows so issues are routed quickly to the right owners, exceptions are handled consistently, and recurring breakages inform process improvements.

    • Build the practical infrastructure that helps these workflows run better, including documentation, dashboards, alerts, status visibility, and automation-ready processes.

    • Translate ambiguous business needs and technical dependencies into clear project plans, milestones, handoffs, and decision points.

  • In your first year

    • Partner with stakeholders to determine which steps should be standardized, automated, reassigned, simplified, or stopped entirely.

    • Pilot improved ways of working, gather feedback, iterate quickly, and stabilize the new model until it can run as part of steady-state operations.

    • PImprove operating quality by reducing avoidable coordination overhead, surfacing risks earlier, and strengthening accountability across handoffs.

    • Provide clear, data-informed program-level updates, surface risks early, and help stakeholders make thoughtful tradeoffs without losing momentum.

    • Help build durable PMO mechanisms that improve planning, execution, and visibility across a portfolio of related workflows rather than only within individual projects.

Who You Are

  • You are a structured operator who can walk into a suboptimal workflow, understand what is happening, and create a clearer path forward.

  • You are equally comfortable driving day-to-day execution and redesigning the system behind the work so it becomes more durable over time.

  • You are effective at working across technical and non-technical teams, and you know how to connect the right people to the right problems without creating extra friction.

  • You have strong judgment about when to introduce process, when to simplify, and when to use automation or AI-enabled tooling to reduce manual coordination and improve visibility.

  • You are comfortable working in ambiguous environments where responsibilities, dependencies, and tooling may still be evolving.

  • You can translate technical constraints and operational complexity into clear plans, risks, decisions, and stakeholder actions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4+ years of project management, business operations, marketing operations, or similar cross-functional experience leading small to mid-sized projects.

  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives that require process mapping, stakeholder coordination, risk management, and operational execution.

  • Experience building or improving workflows that span multiple teams, systems, and handoffs.

  • Experience using project management and workflow tools to manage timelines, dependencies, ownership, and status visibility.

  • Ability to identify operational gaps, drive follow-through, and keep work moving across teams with different priorities and contexts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in growth marketing operations, lifecycle or enrollment marketing, implementation, commercial operations, or a similarly cross-functional operating environment.

  • Experience designing or improving intake systems, RACI or ownership models, SLAs, launch-readiness processes, dashboards, alerts, and workflow documentation.

  • Experience coordinating issue triage or operational troubleshooting across multiple stakeholder groups and systems.

  • Experience working alongside technical, data, or engineering teams and translating upstream or downstream dependencies into actionable project plans.

  • Familiarity with automation, AI-assisted operations, and workflow tooling used to reduce manual coordination and improve visibility.

  • Experience supporting change management, process adoption, and operational scaling in a fast-moving environment.

  • PMP, Six Sigma, or similar project management certification is preferred.
