Lume and Mando are part of Mammoth Brands, the modern CPG company behind category-leading brands Harry’s, Flamingo, Lume, Mando, and Coterie. Driven by a mission to “Create Things People Like More,” the company is creating a new model—and home—for brands, founders, and talent looking to solve unmet needs, improve peoples’ lives and ultimately change the status quo. Even as we grow, we take extra care to maintain the small, scrappy, entrepreneurial culture that helped to get us where we are today: a company that people like more, that better serves its customers, employees, and community. Mammoth Brands is committed to making a positive impact and donated over $20 million through our network of nonprofit partners to date. We build brands that move fast and think big — and we hire people who are curious about AI, willing to experiment with it in their day-to-day work, and excited to accelerate what's possible. We prioritize giving our team the tools, training, and space to build real fluency, so you grow alongside the technology and help shape how we use it. |
About the Team
The Creative team at Lumē and Mando is small, ambitious, and building something real. We work across both brands — two whole body deodorants that do something the rest of the industry doesn't: stop the bacteria that causes B.O. anywhere on the body. It's a genuinely better product solving a problem people have always been too embarrassed to talk about. Our job is to change that. We make campaigns, content, packaging, and activations that help people understand why these products are different — and why they should care. We're in the middle of a major brand transformation, and the work we're doing right now will define what these brands look and feel like for years to come.
About the Role
We're looking for an ACD, Art Director who leads with concepts and executes with craft. You'll be the visual creative partner to the ACD Copywriter — concepting campaigns together, pushing ideas to unexpected places, and making sure the work looks as good as it thinks. This isn't a job where you're handed a brief and told to make it pretty. You're in the room when the ideas and strategy are forming, shaping both what we say and how we say it visually. The work spans social, digital, packaging, in-store, and activations.
Neither brand is finished. Both have room to grow, tighten, and get more interesting — and we're looking for someone who sees that as the opportunity, not the problem. You'll also work closely with the design and content on how campaign creative intersects with the brand identity system, especially through the 2027 rebrand rollout.
This is an IC role — no direct reports, but real creative ownership, and real range in who you work with day to day. You'll partner most closely with the ACD Copywriter to concept ideas from scratch. You'll lean on the design and content teams to bring those ideas to life with craft across every touchpoint — from packaging to video — working within brand standards rather than reinventing them each time.
A Day in the Life
- Kicking off the morning with a concepting session with the ACD Copywriter — building off each other's thinking until an idea neither of you would have landed on alone.
- Reviewing selects from a Mando content shoot, flagging which frames actually serve the idea and which are just “technically fine.”
- Jumping into a brief kickoff with Brand and Marketing leads for Lumē's next product launch, pushing for a stronger visual insight before the shot list gets locked.
- Sitting down with the Design Director to turn a raw campaign idea into something that actually looks unmistakable — distinct yet on-brand.
- Giving an editor feedback on a social cut, sharpening the pacing and tone so it lands with the concept — and still feels native to whatever's happening on the platform that week.
- Killing a concept you personally loved because the simpler version tested better in the room.
- Ending the day looking back at the work in progress, deciding what's actually strong enough to show tomorrow and what needs another pass.
What You Will Accomplish
- Concept original campaign ideas across social, digital, in-store, and activations in close partnership with the ACD Copywriter and the rest of the creative team — bringing strong visual thinking to every brief.
- Art direct content and campaign shoots, working with production partners, photographers, and video teams to ensure the work looks intentional from concept to delivery.
- Collaborate with the Design Director on how campaign creative intersects with the brand identity system.
- Direct video and animation concepts for social and digital — not as an editor or motion designer, but as the creative lead who ensures the idea translates correctly through production partners.
- Maintain a high standard of visual craft across everything the creative team produces, acting as a taste-maker and quality bar for the team.
This Should Describe You
- You think in campaigns, not assets. Your instinct is to find the idea first and solve the visual execution second.
- You have refined design sensibility and a strong visual POV — you know what looks good and why, and you can articulate it.
- You're fluent in social and digital — you understand how content lives on platforms and how to make work that feels native, not posted.
- You can concept for and direct video without being an editor — you communicate clearly with production partners and know how to get what you want.
- You work well in a copy/AD team model and know how to build on a partner's ideas as well as your own.
