The Town of Stony Plain is the local government authority responsible for planning and delivering municipal services in Stony Plain, a Canadian urban community of approximately 18,000 people on the traditional Indigenous lands of Treaty 6 peoples. Corporate Communications is a centralized Business Unit within the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (OCAO). The team is responsible for leading and supporting the planning, creation, and delivery of external communications across the organization, as well as promoting public participation opportunities. Corporate Communications works in alignment with the Town’s Strategic Plan, Corporate Plan, and Department Plans. The team is committed to delivering strategic, consistent, high-quality, and accessible communications supporting transparency, building public trust, and strengthening community connection. The team also plays a central role in maintaining the integrity of the Town’s corporate brand through policy, procedures and professional judgment. Communications are guided to be visually cohesive, reflect a consistent tone, and present a unified corporate identity across all channels.
